The campground is by far the best place to stay. Better than the hotels in the park and way better than anything outside the park.

We camped two nights and just before the road opened to vehicles. While all campsites were full, the roads, shops, lakefront, and trails were relatively quiet, yet busy with bikers and boaters. Campground and facilities were clean, hosts and employees were very friendly.

Really nice spot, close to bathroom, trash and water spigot. Tent pad was plenty big for 8x10 tent. Spots far enough away to have privacy and not feel like you are right on top of your neighbor. Had a little Mule deer buck visitor both days staying here. Rangers very informative and pleasant. Area patrolled frequently. Had to go into Apgar village to purchase firewood. Not a big deal, but something to be aware of if you have a van or small motor home before you set up camp. The pull through camper area is curved and slightly sloped. We tent camped but had we brought or camper the awning and door would have been facing the road in this spot if we just pulled through ias this is a one way loop. Would have taken some maneuvering and going against the flow to put the camper in so the door opened to the site instead of the road. Would definitely stay here again if tent camping or a small camper/van unit.

Very peaceful, was able to find our campground spot easily, the campground was super convenient to the hikes we wanted to do. Showers were a little grungy but that's somewhat typical for a campground in the summer.

Great campground. Just wished the sites were a little bit more level and that they had more than one dump station. With all that said ,we would definitely stay there again.

The site was beautiful. The host was helpful. The showers were not clean. They did not drain properly. There was a line to wait for showers because there is just one shower for a large campground. There was a lot of noise from campers in the campground.

The campground was clean and well organized. We loved the proximity to Lake McDonald and to the amphitheater for the nightly ranger talks. One suggestion would be to have bear boxes at each campsite. We camped at Jenny Lake in the Grand Teton Natl. Park and really enjoyed having a bear box at our campsite.
