We were lucky to get a camp spot with the 4 day "rolling window". The sites were well spaced. We had to walk everywhere because we had a motorhome and no bikes, but it was ok. Unfortunately, the fires made the air almost unbearable. We will had a good time.

We were lucky to have a level spot for our van. The campground is large, but nice and wooded. We wished we had chosen a spot that our neighbors didn't have a generator, but the demand is so high we were happy to get a place. The lake is wonderful and its a quick walk to the Apgar center for supplies, food, etc...

Every year there are too many no-shows at campsites. This takes away from those trying to get a campsite and who will show up. No-shows must be penalized. Penalize with substantial no-show fee or don't let them reserve a site for a year or two.

Don't be discouraged if your initial inquiry shows no spots available. Get on the notification list and check in every couple days and you should be able to get a spot.

Nice campground. Walking distance to lake Mcdonald, Apgar Village, and Apgar visitor center. Campsites are a bit small. Feels a bit crowded when neighboring campsites are occupied.

LOVE Apgar Campground! Camp hosts were so friendly. Facilities were good (though the showers aren't quite as good as Yellowstone, but they're are serviceable). We were at site A19. Great site, but my only recommendation would be keep RVs out of the tent loop. (Also, if you're planning to prepare food at your campsite, you should bring in everything you'll need -- there's not much access to veggies and fruit nearby.)

Apgar was a great place to stay! We did a weekend trip and had a blast. Bathrooms were decently clean. Very clean campgrounds.
