While the location was good and the village was a convenient place to get some extra things we needed, the campground it's self was disappointing. The sites we booked didn't have the tent space we were expecting based on their descriptions and the bathrooms didn't have any soap. If you plan to tent camp, also plan to get creative about where you place your tent.
West Glacier was a fun spot to explore and Glacier Guide & Montana Raft offered a wonderful family friendly white water rafting experience for everyone!

Beautiful park. We got lucky with our site, but our friends...not so much. There was no room for a tent. The bathrooms/showers were not well maintained...broken urinals, moldy urinals, broken faucets, no soap, disgusting showers. It made me sad. I know cuts have been real, but didn't expect this in Apgar. Missed a bear box at each site too. Wonderful village, staff, and visitor center though.

Our experience at Apgar could not be improved upon. Fantastic sites, great privacy, clean restrooms, friendly and knowledgable rangers and hosts. Oh, and the scenery is world class.

-- I shouldn't have to walk a mile to get to the visitor's center and/or village
-- The bathroom closest to me was "closed for the season" (I forget why)
-- On the day I changed camps, the bathroom closest to me lacked toilet paper (It got filled a day later)
-- While changing camps, someone stole my walking stick.
-- The Hiker-Biker site I was at claimed to have 4 tent spaces yet had only 3 pads.
Helpful info:
-- Walk to the village via the path over the road near Loop A and not the Bike Path unless you want to go to the visitor center first... you'll save time and mileage.
-- The boat rental nearest the lake has good rates and friendly staff...

We enjoyed our stay. A36 campsite comfortably fit our 38’ travel trailer and 21’ tow vehicle. Due to sight slant and length of our trailer, leveling was somewhat difficult, but adequate. In general, the site specs do not reflect parking tolerances at Apgar campsites having camped at Apgar twice with my rig.

The campsite itself was great. We stayed in group site E7. The bathrooms were kept clean. The only downside to the campsite is that it has only 3 shower stalls for 200 campsites. If you plan to go shower in the evening when most other campers are showering too it could be a 1 hour plus wait to shower.
