Site D166 says max length is 38ft. The pull through sites do overlap at the entrance and exit, and you can't park in that portion, but I have a 28ft trailer and an F250 and I had more then enough room to unhitch and park. Beware, your door will face the road in this site, but this was not an issue for us.

The location is great. Able to walk to village and visitor center. The boat tour from McDonald Lodge was worth the time. All bathrooms were clean. Some more updated than others. Only 3 showers located in A loop but going mid-day no wait. All in all love this campground.

Easy access, clean facilities, helpful hosts, quiet, relaxing and well spaced sites. IF able to ... will definitely be back!

Clean, campsites in a beautiful setting. That earns a 4-5 star rating (I rarely give 5 stars)
This is bear country and there are ridiculously few bear boxes to store all the items you need to store in there (food, stoves, coolers, anything that smells). I counted FIVE bear boxes for the A loop of over 50 campsites. Each bear box would hold, at most, 2 campsites of food and stoves. This is OK if you are in a HARD sided RV/Trailer, but if you are tent camping you are just SOL.
Also, they want you (correctly) to dump your wash water down a special drain. OK, there was only ONE such drain for the entire large campground.
They need to help save the bears by installing a bear box for EACH campsite and a dish water drain at EACH restroom. This earns a 1 star rating. Yes this is an old campground, but the situation should have been resolved LONG before the current NPS budget cuts.

The campground was in a perfect location, 10 minute walk to the village and 3 minute walk to the lake. The rangers were very helpful if you had any questions and always waved to you as they were driving by.
