No operational bathrooms in the loop I was in, although portapotties were clean. Parking area very small, parallel and directly adjacent to the road. A converted schoolbus was in the campsite in front of my parking area and also had a tight parking area with its back end being within about 8 ft of the front of my van camper. Way too close to be a relaxing camping experience. Won’t stay in C loop again.

Quiet campground, exactly as described. Friendly staff/hosts. Nice for moto-camping. Conveniently close to West Glacier, but far enough away from the built-up areas to feel secluded. Some very quiet walking trails are nearby off the Inside North Fork road, which is drivable (suv, dual sport/adv) for about 10 mi directly from the campground gate.

Very nice campground. 2 of us stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed it. Nice location near Lake McDonald, Apgar, and McDonald Lodge. About two hours to many of the other cool destinations in the park. Not the most remote but good spot to access a number of different hikes. After staying here would be cool to get a more wilderness fix somewhere remote or backpacking.

My adult daughter and I very much enjoyed Glacier. What an awesome place! I hadn't camped in years when I booked the Fish creek site 5 days in advance, so my daughter lost her payment on a HipCamp she had previously booked. She was glad to be camping in the park though! The campsite is nice and level and provided plenty of room for our two tents. At night, you could hear Fish Creek, which is visible directly behind the campsite down a steep hill. The campsite was crowded, but everyone respected the rules and quiet time each night. I still wore ear plugs to avoid the random sounds of a crowded campground, though. The site is also across the street from the bathrooms. While it made going, and emptying grey water, convenient, the light from the building made it a little bright at our campsite. It's unfortunate that there is only one shower in the whole campground and that is in Loop A. After full days of activities we were too tired to walk the ~.75 mi. to the showers so we drove over. We were told not to park there (even for a minute), so that added difficulty to taking a shower. Fish Creek is great though, it's close to everything in W. Glacier, but not as big as Apgar. 5 stars!

We loved this heavily wooded campground with easy walking access to Lake McDonald. Site C94 is an enormous site on the corner, do cars driving in and out of loop C were frequent. The bathrooms were out of order on the loop, but the park provided very clean port o potties, and the flushing toilets in loop D were an easy walk. The amphitheater nightly programs were wonderful, and was an easy walk from site C94.

We stay here every year, but this year had a few unexpected bumps. First, the loop we were in didn't have working bathrooms, which we found out when we arrived. There were portable outhouses, but they were not being emptied frequently enough. It definitely became a sanitary issue as the porta-potties reached near to overflowing before they were emptied. The volunteers at the campsite were trying to get them serviced more quickly, but it was unclear what was preventing that.
The other big hiccup involved the Going to the Sun road. We've stayed at Fish Creek for many years and this was the first time that staying at the campsite didn't guarantee us access to the Going to the Sun Road. Had we heard about this in advance, we would have tried to get those passes, but this change of process wasn't indicated on the campsite reservation. Once we were at the campsite, we found out we couldn't reach the hikes we planned to do. We were told to book a pass at 7pm the night before we wanted to use the road, but this requires reliable internet access which the campsite doesn't have. That was pretty frustrating. The recreation.gov website isn't very accessible to folks who are camping with very limited cell / internet access.
We were also interested in visiting the north fork entrance, but those passes were impossible to get with limited cell service.

This is a beautiful campground, and we had a wonderful stay. The size and privacy of the sites varies widely though. This is a smaller site, and it is right across from a path to the lake, so there is more foot and vehicle traffic - people often drove others to the lake and dropped them off at the trail. As someone else pointed out, one neighbor’s fire pit is pretty close to the tent set up location. We lucked out that no one had a fire in it while we were there.

It’s a nice campground but our loop’s bathrooms were closed for maintenance at the time.
