Liked the location of the campground in the park. Loop C had a path leading to Rocky Point Trail which offers less busy Lake McDonald beaches than Apgar. However, every time we wanted a shower we had to drive and park in the picnic area. Then hike up stairs to the only 3 showers for the entire campground, which usually had only cold water. The campground needs to add showers to the other loops. There was a black bear that frequented our campsite, they should probably work on relocating them if they are reliably there, as we were told. The next camper may not be so careful. Word to the wise, a reservation at Fish Creek does not get you on Going to the sun road! Yes you are already in the park but there is a second checkpoint after the West Entrance! They will turn you around.

While the actual campsites were nice, C098 and C097, the only showers available were in the A loop. And only 2 showers were working, without hot or even warm water. That's 2 showers for the entire Fish Creek campground.

Well managed, very clean and very welcoming. My only minor complaint would be a lack of dishwashing facilities.

Lovely treed campground. Must go hikes: avalanche creek and hidden lake.
Thunderstorm came in so be prepared for all weather.

Nice campground. The shower facilities were pretty rough, but the bathrooms were clean and the campground was well maintained.

Only problem was no hot water for the whole time we were there. Cold showers were very uncomfortable.

Great campground! Some sites are very close together, but I expect that at a national park. Walking to Lake McDonald was perfect and we opted to hit the Going to the Sun Road before 6am which worked out great coming from Fish Creek.

Site #A16 was a great site! Much larger and private than other sites in this loop. There is a great staired walkway one site away that leads directly down to Lake McDonald.
The bathrooms and showers were a bit of a disappointment as they were very small and not very clean, but still better than vault toilets!

The road going through loop A is so narrow it’s scary. We had to move to site C108. We could not get the camper level.
I recommend that recreation.gov have a better cancellation policy. The way it is now there are too many “no shows”. With the situation we had in Site C108 it would have been nice to have the option to move to another spot. One third of the sites were empty.
