Beautiful, quiet campground and so close to the lake. We loved it and we’ll be back!

I loved our campsite! We were,a shirt hike from the waterfront and a short walk to the bathrooms which had running water and showers. The hot water was iffy but the shower got done! Plenty of area to walk. Not far from Apgar Village where we bought firewood. The campfire was very nice.

We had a very nice site - right by the lake but some trees around for privacy.

Fish creek was a lovely spot! The "creek" (more like lake) access was amazing. Loved that the spots were pull-through style. Made it very easy to set up, leave, and repeat! One thing to note is that Fish Creek is right outside of the checkpoint for Going to the Sun Road (required reservations). This made it very difficult to get anywhere in the park. Had to drive 2.5 hours around!

Very nice campground. Our campsite #177 had a trail leading down to lake McDonald. Good sized site with lots of trees for hammocks and good shade durning the day. Bathrooms right across from the site.

Nice big campsite, lots of trees, short walk to restroom building. Access to Lake McDonald was just a short walk along the road on the other side of the restrooms.

Excellent spot next to the river, lake, and rocky point. Site was easy. There was no iron cooktop for the fire and the women’s toilet paper was out so maybe grab some extra supplies. Great stay will return!

Love this campground. Much quieter and more private than Apgar. Clean campsites and bathrooms, sufficient water faucets around the campground, and the coolest amphitheater in the Park. For newbies, two notes: the water faucets are non-threaded so do not expect to fill trailers in the campground (the dump station does have potable water), and the listed maximum site lengths are not to be believed. The Park has redone their descriptions to say the max vehicle length is total vehicle plus trailer plus any other towed equipment. Our site was listed as maximum 24 ft. Our trailer is 25', our total vehicle length is 45', and we had absolutely no problems getting in the site. Same with all the other sites in our party.

Our campsite hosts were very friendly, professional, and helpful. The restrooms and showers were cleaned daily by Park staff. Numerous times deer (doe and buck) would meander through the camping area. Visiting Apgar Village, Lake McDonald Lodge, hiking the Avalanche Lake Trail, and viewing McDonald Creek Falls are all a must-see. We stayed in late May to early June, and the Going To The Sun Road was closed from Avalanche Campground to Logan's Pass and beyond due to snow and debris accumulation still needing to be cleared, but hikers and bicyclers could go to within a couple of miles of Logan's Pass.
