The two employees (rangers?) that would check on us were super friendly and made us feel welcome. We did not understand the scheduling of events for the amphitheater and misread that a speaker whom we wanted to hear was actually speaking elsewhere. There several other people who made the same mistake.
There was no grate on out fire ring.

We stayed at 2 different sites in the campground. The 1st was a tent only site in the C loop. The site was too small for our 6 person tent but otherwise nice. The 2nd site was in the B loop. It was amazing! The staff we encountered were so wonderful, too.

We camped at Fish Creek in our camper van for 10 days in early June and it was always very quiet and peaceful, and the bathrooms were cleaned every day. Do note that if you are camping here, and want to take a shower, you will need to go to Loop A, where the showers are, but you cannot park in Loop A; have to park in the amphitheater parking lot, and walk 100 yards or so up a footpath to the showers.

The sites in Loop C are not level. I think there should be better warnings about this on the website.

Great camp ground. We love fish creek. The non generator loop is wonderful for us tent campers.

Great little campground! There are running water toilets and sinks in each loop. And showers is loop A! The sites are pretty small, however, and there is not much privacy. Our first night camping, our tent was about 15 ft from another camper’s tent. They had very rambunctious children, so falling asleep was a little difficult.

Stayed in campsite C110. We’re traveling in a 23 ft sprinter van. The site is not level at all. And there is no Bear box to store your food. So if you intend to cook, you have to put away everything every night back into your vehicle. Also, there is no dish dishwashing station. The bathrooms were not too far away and were fairly clean. However, the floor seemed to always be wet in the women’s bathroom. This site had great access to the lake. My kids are six and seven and we felt comfortable letting them be on the lake while we stayed at the campsite. We could see their silhouette and heads through the trees and bushes. There are neighbors on both sides, but the way the sites were situated. It wasn’t too bad. We were able to paddleboard right from our campsite.(just be sure to get your board inspected). With the negatives said, the positives all outweigh those because of the accessibility to the lake. We also had E bikes and were able to bike to the small town of Apagar in the park. It wasn’t a very labeled path, but it was completely doable (with e-bikes) and very little was on the main roads. TravelerTess
