We camped at Fish Creek in our camper van for 10 days in early June and it was always very quiet and peaceful, and the bathrooms were cleaned every day. Do note that if you are camping here, and want to take a shower, you will need to go to Loop A, where the showers are, but you cannot park in Loop A; have to park in the amphitheater parking lot, and walk 100 yards or so up a footpath to the showers.

We stayed at 2 different sites in the campground. The 1st was a tent only site in the C loop. The site was too small for our 6 person tent but otherwise nice. The 2nd site was in the B loop. It was amazing! The staff we encountered were so wonderful, too.

The two employees (rangers?) that would check on us were super friendly and made us feel welcome. We did not understand the scheduling of events for the amphitheater and misread that a speaker whom we wanted to hear was actually speaking elsewhere. There several other people who made the same mistake.
There was no grate on out fire ring.

This is our second time at this campground and it's very much like you are deep in the woods. We love this campground and the environment that it offers.

I was staying in Apgar, had an emergency, and needed to cancel my next two nights coming up at Fish Creek; however, I had no cell service at Apgar. When I finally got cell service the next day after leaving the west side of the park, Recreation.gov would not allow me to complete a cancelation for the two nights. I wasn’t looking for a refund. I just wanted to cancel.

Glacier National Park is an astonishingly gorgeous landscape that highlights the majestic beauty that only nature can provide. From landscapes to wildlife, each experience is a magical memory. We were lucky to experience the park before an unexpected winter event swept through the area! An amazing experience overall.
I managed to snag a reservation by staying up over two weeks to try and get a campground starting from the day reservations opened up. If you time it right, you may get lucky. I feel like what you need most is determination and luck. Happy hunting.
If you are interested in some exclusive pastries, the Huckleberry Bear Claws in Polebridge are a definite thing to try. There is a nice trail nearby to enjoy and this is where we were delighted to spy a red fox trotting down the road with dinner in its maw. A rare treat indeed.
Going to the sun road is best experienced when it is all to yourself. Unfortunately that is a tall ask for such a popular road. We faired best by getting up early to make our way slowly up to Logan Pass and through to St Mary. Stopping along the way where was something that looked interesting. A leisurely adventure.
The Many Glacier area was closed for a good portion of our trip, but that just means we have a reason to visit again, though there are limitless excuses to make future trips to Glacier National Park.
We will visit again because it was love at first sight.

We have a small A-Liner and it felt like a cabin in the woods. This campground is heavily forested with beautiful trees. Some of the spots are not level so if you have a camper be prepared. Water access was all around the camp, but we did not drink the water because of magonese warnings. Each bathroom had a gray water dump. There are no showers except in Loop A. Be sure to make a reservation for Goin to the Sun Road as it is NOT part of your camping reservation.
