The campground is nicely nestled among the tall lodge pibes with various elevations throughout, so keep that in mind as you book your campsite. We were expecting some hard rains due to Hilary, but the water drained through the campsite nicely. We were warned by the campsite host and we were greeted by rangers to discuss Bear safety. The campground also offered nightly viewings at the amphitheater. The campground also easily accesses Lake McDonald, the West Glacier village, and Apgar Village, making it easy to get groceries, ice, gifts, and cell service. Glacier is hard to get service in general and Fish Creek campground is no exception. It was quiet and neighbors were neighborly. I’d definitely recommend this campground.

Loop D (no generator) Site was level for our RV. Campground was amazingly quiet. Great swimming and hiking next to site.

This was a great camp site! It was close to the bathrooms (not too close) and water. It was also a minute walk to the beautiful lake McDonald. Although this campsite is at the entrance and exit of the D loop, it was pretty quiet and had good tree coverage. It is towards the end of the going to the sun road, so it takes a bit longer to get to the hiking trails. Additionally, the only showers are in A loop and there is nowhere to park (that I saw) if you are staying in a different loop. I had to have a friend drop me off, but it wasn’t too bad. Also, T-Mobil had great coverage! I was able to text, stream some videos, and download songs. Overall, I would definitely recommend this campsite!

We loved loop D at Fish Creek, access to walk to Lake McDonald was amazing. Clean bathrooms, nice sites, our popup camper fit well. We also liked being close to Apgar to take advantage of the amenities there, especially the park shuttle.

You couldn't ask for a better atmosphere and location. Fish Creek is connected to so many nearby natural attractions and resources and still serenely perfect. The sites were comfortable and well kept. Bathrooms were clean. Rangers did a great job checking in with campers.

There is a quick trial through the campgrounds to the lake. No need to go out on the road. There are showers at Loop d for everyone. I saw a black bear on the bike trail going to the Apgar visitor center.
