due to an unexpected vehicle emergency, we were unable to make it to Glacier National Park as planned. We have decided to return home to Las Vegas, NV, and we had to cancel all of our existing campground reservations and we plan to visit next year instead.

The sites are pretty close together, but the forest is pretty thick, so it feels a bit more isolated. Lots of children running around making loud noises, but things settle down during quiet hours. Our spot had a couple really nice places to put a tent. Loop C has pretty good lake access too.

We were so pleased with the campground. It was very conveniently located a quick drive from almost all we wanted to do over our week's stay and offered just enough cell connectivity. Our site near the start of the B loop (#36) was relatively private and shady with a nice view into the deep woods, plenty of hammock trees, and a quick walk to the shared amphitheater for fantastic nightly ranger talks (highly recommended) and a very well kept, clean bathroom building. The well water in the campground was surprisingly good as well. Don't forget to visit the east side of the park (the 3 falls trail along St Mary Lake is stunning with easy parking at Sun Point). The Red Bus tours along Going To the Sun Road are also well worth it.

Terry and Darryl (the front gate employees) were awesome!!! so friendly and helpful. Both campsites we stayed in (loop A and D) were large and well maintained. I will say the shower pressure was so strong it actually hurt in the loop A showers. Otherwise a great place to stay and we had an amazing time.

Fishcreek campground was incredible! We were not super experienced campers so having running water and a restroom available was very helpful. The hike within walking distance from the loops was a great warmup for our bigger hikes during the week, and the lake is beautiful around this campground. It’s great to have Apgar within driving distance for wood and souvenirs as well as a more official boat put in. Terry (the ranger on during our stay) checked us in and checked on us a few times throughout our stay and was super friendly offering tips about hikes to try! Great stay overall, would camp there again!

All men’s bathrooms only had one stall, bathrooms were not clean. Location of showers was unknown. We had to go through all the loops and finally ask one of the campers for the location to know that they are in loop A. Getting water for washing our dishes was not a good experience. And the camp hosts were OFF duty so we couldn’t even get the buckets from them. We have camped at several national parks, Yosemite, Yellow Stone, Mount Rainier, Olympic etc and by far the campsites in Fish creek in Glacier were the worst

We had a great four night stay at Fish Creek. Took our bikes all around the area. Hiked to Rocky Point. Plus drove all around the park. Our site had recent storm damage from high winds. The stumps couldn’t be removed until an archeologist checked them for artifacts. That was a bit unfortunate. But the site was still nice. It’s really hard to get a site there. We would have preferred a different loop or by the stream. But just felt lucky to get in.
