Terry and Darryl (the front gate employees) were awesome!!! so friendly and helpful. Both campsites we stayed in (loop A and D) were large and well maintained. I will say the shower pressure was so strong it actually hurt in the loop A showers. Otherwise a great place to stay and we had an amazing time.

Fishcreek campground was incredible! We were not super experienced campers so having running water and a restroom available was very helpful. The hike within walking distance from the loops was a great warmup for our bigger hikes during the week, and the lake is beautiful around this campground. It’s great to have Apgar within driving distance for wood and souvenirs as well as a more official boat put in. Terry (the ranger on during our stay) checked us in and checked on us a few times throughout our stay and was super friendly offering tips about hikes to try! Great stay overall, would camp there again!

All men’s bathrooms only had one stall, bathrooms were not clean. Location of showers was unknown. We had to go through all the loops and finally ask one of the campers for the location to know that they are in loop A. Getting water for washing our dishes was not a good experience. And the camp hosts were OFF duty so we couldn’t even get the buckets from them. We have camped at several national parks, Yosemite, Yellow Stone, Mount Rainier, Olympic etc and by far the campsites in Fish creek in Glacier were the worst

We had a great four night stay at Fish Creek. Took our bikes all around the area. Hiked to Rocky Point. Plus drove all around the park. Our site had recent storm damage from high winds. The stumps couldn’t be removed until an archeologist checked them for artifacts. That was a bit unfortunate. But the site was still nice. It’s really hard to get a site there. We would have preferred a different loop or by the stream. But just felt lucky to get in.

Very happy overall,
Rec.gov was easy to understand & navigate.
But
I wanted to stay 4 nights, and had to move campsites each night.
I tried to reserve em as early as possible, but couldn’t. (I see the beauty of accepting both advance reservations, and some within a couple of days. Gives everyone a chance!)
That and would like each campsite in have its own bearbox.

I really lucked out with getting a site last minute. This is a beautiful site. Great loop in general and access to lake. Site was shaded. Wide enough for our 20 ft camper and had water at next site.

We had an excellent campsite with direct access to the beach, which was amazing for our family. My kids were able to swim right from the campground, and that made the stay especially memorable.
The main improvement I would suggest is the shower situation. There are no showers in Loops B or C, only in Loop A, and for campers in the other loops you really need to drive there. There are only four showers for a campground with roughly 200+ sites, which feels very limited. Adding showers in Loops B and C would make a big difference.
