The campground and staff were lovely and I definitely plan to go back, however, I have a bone to pick with the rec.gov reservation system. We reserved a spot day off on rec.gov (presumably a cancellation) and arrived to a nearly empty campground. The site that we were able to pick up (the ONLY one available via rec.gov) had a broken fire ring and was unfortunately close to the bathrooms. Side note: bathrooms have very bright exterior lights-- avoid camping near them if possible-- very disruptive to enjoying nature at night. I drove back to service late afternoon to see if there were any other available sites since the one we were at was in a pretty crummy location and not in good service, and they were listed as fully reserved. Fast forward hours later and the next morning and nearly half of the sites sat empty overnight! We were totally disappointed to not be able to move to a more private and scenic site, and I believe that rec.gov is missing out on a TON of revenue with all of the sites that sat unoccupied that were not able to be reserved online. I understand the online reservation system is new this year, but come on rec.gov, you all are overcomplicating it and missing out by not offering sites first come first served or even releasing the unbooked sites on your website out of the car reservation season. Very frustrating.

Two Med is our favorite campground in Glacier. The setting is spectacular and the new idea of saving some sites for reservations four days in advance is really helpful. I did notice that some sites that were "reserved" were not filled even by the next morning.
