Always enjoy camping at Methodist campground. Water went out for a few hours but we were informed by email that they were working on it. Much appreciated.

Methodist Cove is another good example of a well planned Army Corp of Engineers campground on an impoundment. The site I had was large, level, and the surface was gravel. I had a view of the lake. Drinking water was nearby and I had electricity for my 30 amp trailer. There is a well used boat ramp and nearby fish cleaning station. There are walking, jogging and biking trails in the park that lead to the town of Alma. I would recommend this campground 100%. You can reserve a site on Recreation.gov.

We were there before school got out for the year so didn’t have a ton of people to contend with. We also went on Wednesday and left Friday so fewer people. Methodist Cove has a very clean, well kept campground. The fish cleaning station was clean and away from the campers. Bathrooms were clean and within reasonable distance. Only downfall was the area to put the boat in was only 18 to 20 inches deep to get to the lake. At the ramp it was 3 ft deep. I know this is a low water year but maybe a dredge would help in the 18 inch area to help get boats out. Overall was a great experience.

Enjoyed our stay in Methodist Cove. The lawn was mowed, bathroom was clean but just no place for elderly people to get near the water to fish from the banks. Not your fault the water is low.

This is always our favorite camping spot. The walking trail into town is beautiful. The water was low, but it gave us an opportunity to explore what's usually covered in water. Found clams and caught some fish. Shower house was in good condition and were free. Overall great experience again this year. Looking forward to next year!
