Methodist Cove is a very nice campground, we always have a good experience there. The sites are far enough apart to allow you "your space" not like some campgrounds.

There was no one around our entire visit to questions. We did not even see a host.
Our site was beautiful with trees.
There was a lot of little trash around our site that I picked up.

The campground has a range of sites: full hookup, electric with water, electric only, and tent. There is a shower house with laundry facilities, too. The campground hosts and staff keep the shower house clean.

When we arrived - after check-in, someone was on our site. We called the Recreation.gov number, left a message about the situation, then drove into town and grabbed some dinner to give them time to leave. We returned after 6. The person was still on the site. We never heard from the host, so we chose a site and left a message telling them what we did. We never did hear anything from the campground. Nice spot, but after driving all day, we would like to settle down without the waiting game.

beautiful trees in flat spacious campground with lake breezes, very reasonable priced washers & dryers, distance to flush toilets was farther than expected, YMMV

grounds are vey well kept. the grass is plush and well maintained. the reservoir is a great resource. showers and laundry are a nice plus, but the sinks could be better maintained; there were scads of dead bugs on them.

The woman staffing the gatehouse was great. Very helpful, very knowledgeable, able to work changes in the system as we needed them and all done with a very cheerful disposition. So, Yay!
Campground was quiet and well maintained. Sites were clean. Bathroom and shower facilities were pretty good, though some young (teenage?) boys were having entirely too much loud fun in the showers when I used them. Where were their parents?
Good job by the Corps of Engineers and their contractors for hosting such a nice campground.
