Beautiful campsite with unobstructed and elevated view overlooking a marshy bay. Spotted a dozen bird species and watched a great blue heron "frogging". We were there on the night of the "low strawberry moon" and the reflections across the lake viewed from our site were breathtaking. This is a gorgeous county park campground that rivals the best the national park service (NPS) has to offer. Very friendly campers helped us navigate to the shower house and other facilities. We would stay here again.

Loved our site (115) with lots of shade. Wondered why there are so many FCFS sites that are roped off. Any explanation?

Campground has been renovated and upgraded since we were late there. It has been a few years. We dropped in without reservations on a sunday afternoon. No problem.
