loved walking down to the marina. grill and store were awesome. only drawback is generators started at 6am, didnt stop until 10pm. ALL DAY LONG. Otherwise, great views (saw 5 bighorn sheep while there).

Very nice campground with good amenities. I only have two complaints- no map for picking out my site when reserving in advance, and the sites are smaller and closer together than I prefer. Other than that, everything was clean, quiet, and very pleasant.

Had a great 30 day stay at Callville Bay in November 2021. Jason the camp host does a great job! He is friendly, informative and genuinely cares that all visitors enjoy their stay. During our stay there were other volunteers there as well, and they were super too!

The maintenance crew takes great care of the grounds and the restrooms have flush toilets and are VERY clean.

My husband needs full telework internet on the road, and we had no issues with cell or data on our Verizon plan during our 30 day stay.

As some earlier reviews have stated, the campground is not right on the water of Lake Mead but my dog and I frequently walked down to the marina and boat launch area during our stay. It was only a 15 minute walk, not bad in the winter with cooler weather. We also hiked the trails surrounding the campground and had fun exploring where they went. Just follow the paths and you will be rewarded with beautiful views of the lake!

There is also a store at the top of the bluff overlooking the lake/marina which has basic stock items if you need anything. Large selection of cold beverages as well. It’s bigger and more well stocked than you would expect, and they carry souvenir items as well. There is also a cafe there with limited hours.

There is a wonderful picnic area adjacent to the campground, complete with lush green grass (immaculately mowed) and lots of shade.

It is 15 or so miles from Callville Bay to get to Lake Las Vegas/Henderson, and a 45 minute drive to McCarran Airport. But the drive is beautiful and relaxing, and the peace and quiet at the campground makes it worth the distance.

During our stay, we saw every size rig, from tent campers to large Motorcoaches. In November there were plenty of spots available on a daily basis.

If you enjoy a peaceful dry camping experience with a sense of safety that is unparalleled, I highly recommend Callville Bay.

Driving through Lake Mead and camping was a nice alternative to my usual quick stopover in Vegas. There isn't a lot going on around Calville in November as far as I could tell. Campground was good enough. No shower.
