5 stars for camp host Jason, who was very helpful.
Otherwise, this campground is not enjoyable at all.
Site #27 is not good for a large tent.
The campground has more flies than the city dump, and red ants everywhere.
Hot, hot, hot. (no shade)
The good: I had 2 bars on Tmobile so I could at least call 911 in case of heat stroke.

The campground was well kept. Water was near. Pretty nice sights / scenic drive and you get to see the stars at night. Restroom areas could've been a bit more clean. It was very quiet when we stayed there, only the host and 1 other visitor. Overall good.

Good space, quite a bit of room to move around. Nice to have the running water to refill our trailer tank if needed. Very close to lakeside hiking. Small gift shop and restaurant nearby. Only complaint was when walking our dogs on-site, one of them got a fish hook stuck in their foot - not really the campgrounds fault. Certainly would return.

This was the first time in the many ACOE campgrounds I have stayed that I cannot leave a positive review.
This was absolutely empty when I arrived. No one to give assistance. The host was “unavailable” as was posted on their site. There was no lighting aside from a small light at the bathroom, no shower, no electricity, no water and it was sweltering. I left

The campgrounds here are just as I expected but the view was outstanding. I did not expect to be able to see the stars so close to Las Vegas but the mountains block most of the city glow and instead, I found myself finding a ton of constellations! I loved laying out on the cement picnic table and just staring at the stars.
Bathrooms were clean and the campground was quiet. I booked and paid for my campsite upon arrival online. I would gladly return to this location if I found myself camping in the Vegas area again!

Located just minutes from Las Vegas off Northshore Road within the park and near the city of Henderson, Nevada. Take Lake Mead Parkway east to the park entrance. Take your first left onto Northshore Road. Follow the road about 11 miles. Turn right toward Callville Bay. After about four miles, the campground is on the right.
Callville Bay Campground is accessible via Lake Mead Parkway, which connects to major roads leading from Las Vegas. The campground is approximately 11 miles from the park entrance on Northshore Road.
