The camp host is kind of rude, and the signs all around the camp concerning “don’t shower or wash dishes” is also rude. Overall, our experience in Lake Mead campsite have been not impressive… they are very rude here to non-RV campers. We like tent camping and we are treated like trash. It’s terrible, honestly. Lake Mead National Res. Should be ashamed of how the treat tent campers.

The place was mostly unoccupied, yet I still had to call rec.gov, The campground host was "off duty". Lucky, we had phone reception.

The web site says that there are water spigots at the sites. There are a few at selected spots but the water does not work

Urban camping and can't see lake mead.
Campground was clean and easy to drive to.
There is a town right behind the campground that make the area pretty bright. There was no soap or paper towels in the bathroom.

Located just minutes from Las Vegas off Northshore Road within the park and near the city of Henderson, Nevada. Take Lake Mead Parkway east to the park entrance. Take your first left onto Northshore Road. Follow the road about 11 miles. Turn right toward Callville Bay. After about four miles, the campground is on the right.
Callville Bay Campground is accessible via Lake Mead Parkway, which connects to major roads leading from Las Vegas. The campground is approximately 11 miles from the park entrance on Northshore Road.
