Callville Bay Campground

Callville Bay is a very nice campground. It was easy to get into, very clean, the host was friendly. My only complaint is that the landscapers were a little overzealous with their last round of pruning.
It's in a beautiful area. Hoover Dam is nearby and the dam tour is not to be missed.
When in the area again, we well definitely camp there again.

Callville Campground in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area and is a very nice CG with XX Sites. Overall this CG is in good shape, but probably usage at some point was overestimated and then over-built for that estimate. There are three sections in total, but only the first loop is open. Sections two and three looked like they haven't been used in years. We had about four or five campers beside us and the hosts. And let me say upfront, the hosts are absolutely awesome, friendly and attentive.

It’s dry camping with some federal organization and minimal amenities. They have three or four flush toilet buildings, dumpsters for garbage, several fresh water faucets, and a good dump station; each site also has a picnic table, and fire ring. All sites are open to the sky for satellite and solar and all are back-ins. They are level on both axises and consist of a fine compacted gravel. They are plenty wide and plenty long; you can check the specifics for each site on Recreation.gov. We’re a thirty-five-foot A with a tow along and we had plenty of room for both.

Callville is on the western side of Lake Mead and close distance to boating, fishing and water skiing. Of course the area is close to Boulder City, Hoover Dam (which is a must see) and Las Vegas. Though a few miles from water, it’s still hiking distance. While on the subject, there are plenty of wide open spaces to walk and hike right from the campground. Valley of Fire SP is probably thirty to forty minutes. Red Rock Canyon is probably sixty, and both are very nice day trips which we undertook.

Boulder City is a quaint and charming little town with all the essentials, with two great little coffee shops that I frequented though there maybe more, Albertson’s for groceries is a very nice clean well organized store.

Stayed in lower campground with very few people there. View was very nice. Water available in campground. Dump station goes down hill so tanks do not empty well at all. Water flush not able to use.

20 bucks per night. Great spot for a few days camping. No views of lake.

The bathrooms were nice and cleaned regularly. The camp area was also very clean and our neighbors were extremely nice and helpful. Loved it .

I picked a spot near the bathroom, so that was convenient. Rather clean, as well.

The grounds were pretty clean. And notably quiet. The pad was nicely leveled, with only a few rocks to kick out of the way before setting up the tent.

To the east is a trail that leads up a hill. It's a little steep, but short. From the top, you've got a nice view of the lake. If steep doesn't work for you, there's an approach from the north that's a bit longer, but easier.
