Your standard campground but with stunning views in every direction. It was a little cold in mid-March but we can't wait to come back when it's warmer.

Echo Bay Campground offers a beautiful and tranquil setting with great views and a variety of camping sites. Many campers appreciated the cleanliness of the facilities, including well-maintained bathrooms, and the presence of wildlife like burros and roadrunners added to the charm. However, some visitors noted issues such as limited shade, noise from traffic and wind, and a lack of camp hosts for assistance. Overall, the campground is seen as a hidden gem for those looking to explore nearby attractions like the Valley of Fire, despite some management and maintenance concerns.

The potable water is excellent, but would be nice it the annual drinking water quality report were posted at the restroom billboard or something. The old hotel has been torn down. Good. The original, IMMACULATE, boat ramps at Echo and Overton have been demolished at your expense (>$10,000,000). Sad and dumb, not necessarily in that order.
L-O-V-E the fact cell service is virtually nonexistent in the campground, proper.
Would be nice (wise) if they would fix the drip irrigation system S-O-O-N (i.e., yesterday) so the lovely oleanders (i.e., wind breaks) and palms don't die. The asphalt in the campsites as well as the roads in the campground severely needs repair/maintenance before it reaches the point of being unsalvageable. The restrooms are very old, but clean and functional even though the stall doors/latches could use some maintenance. The campsites are well-maintained and the campground hosts are very friendly and helpful!

Old campground that badly needs a lot of repairs and maintenance. The location is the only good thing about it.

Great spot to camp if you want to check out Valley of Fire which is close. We liked the lower level with great the views.
There is a camp host on site.

It's in a nice location with beautiful vistas. It's quiet and there were only a few campers when we were there. However, the 2nd night of our stay the bathrooms were padlocked. We were told by the campground host that the Park Service had told them they had painted the floors and padlocked the doors. The campground host suggested that we use the bathroom by the fish station, which was about 3/4 mi away and since we were camped in our truck camper, we had no way of easily getting to that bathroom. We had intended to stay another night, but left the next morning. We did stop at the bathroom by the fish station on our way out and found it to be extremely dirty and seemed neglected. I'm sure it in it's heyday this was a wonderful campground area, but it feels more like a sad, forgotten ghost town now.
On the plus side, it's relatively close (about 13 mi) to Valley of Fire State Park and was our chosen back-up since we weren't able to get into that campground.
There is limited cell service (Verizon) in the campground but if you walk up to the main road the service is good.

This out of the way camp site on the banks of Lake Mead, Nevada was not full, nor did it appear that it would be. Nevertheless, there appears to be a strict policy of requiring reservations all the time. No amount of pleading with the camp ground host would make an exception. He told us to "go up the road" where we could get a signal to get on the internet where we could reserve a site. To my surprise, that worked, else we would have had a long drive to - who knows where- probably dispersed camping, which we were prepared to do.

The campground is not being taken cake of at all. The bathrooms need a total makeover, the lights didn't work at all. I feel that this campground is going to be shut down. It was very busy over the weekend while we were there. We've camped there before and it was beautiful. It can't be a lack of water. We watched people come in and fill a 500 gallon water tank, others with 100 gallon water bladder. I guess I'm very confused with why I hasn't been taken care of.!!!

Camp sites were inaccurately described. We selected site 7 as is was supposed to be a 50 ft long site and showed as a pull through it was impossible to get our truck and 22 ft trailer into the site and open the pop out the entire site was along the side of the road and about 10 ft wide if you put the truck touching the table and the trailer door in the bushes.
