Echo Bay Campground

The campsite was very clean and looked just like the pictures. Phone service is not that great the further away from the Ranger station you are. Bathrooms are clean and fully stocked. Wood is available for purchase at nearby store and the lady in the store is very helpful and kind. Great views and great time. Definitely recommend and would definitely return.

Pretty sad campground. No host to buy wood. Generators constantly on and view of the lake is not as great as you’d think. Not lights in the bathroom. Couldn’t find water. Just overall sad, derelict campground.

Never saw a camp host or anyone to provide help or serivice in three nights. Tp started running out. Water is so, so far away. It feels little like you are staying in a deserted beach from years ago, when the lake actually existed. Rocks and gravel and dead trees and some oleander bushes. Little to no shade - bring awnings.

Convenient to Valley of Fire SP

Although not related to the management of the campground, I want to say it's WINDY! We stayed in site 6 of the lower campground, so it was below the high point, but we had a lot of dust in our tent, even thought we kept it zipped.
The water lever was pretty low, and the water was quite cold, but what can you expect in early March with little snow and rainfall? It was as expected in those regards. There were places launch boats that seemed easy to use.
Getting to the lake was easy, and there's a little store with very reasonable gas prices. I don't recall seeing car charging spots or if they had diesel fuel, because we didn't need either of those, but the staff was friendly and helpful.

Pro: inexpensive, good layout, easy to get in and out of sites
Cons: There was only one open set of vault toilets. Fortunately, we camped very close to it. But not close. It didn't small bad and was well-maintained.

No signage pointing to what camsites are on the inside loop. Not obvious where water spigots are located. No ranger to monitor people staying without reservations.

I loved the scenery. The interesting geologic formations. The beautiful lake. It was very windy when i was there and a dead tree in my campsite caused me worry.

Great place to camp. Campground is clean and safe.

I felt safe. The groundsman checked the area regularly.

It was terrible. Some of the campers were very rough and threatening. I reported it to the two people in the store an incident that took place a day earlier. I forgot their names husband and wife the female said she was going to call the maintenance person and report it. I didn’t trust either of them to follow through. I made a call to the Park Police to report what took place. The day before I abruptly departed. Dennis stopped by to ask if the people were bothering me. There was no further incidents from them. Here’s what utterly astounded me. I walked downtown to another camper to ask about Starlink I was having problems, when I saw a side by side pull up. He stopped and gritted his teeth in a guteral tone said get that cat on a leash NOW! It was such a difference from who he was earlier I asked who he was? Seriously. I was so scared of him Inpacked up and left at 6:00am. I will never return there most of the campers are a bunch of drinks and drug users.
