Great campground! Well maintained, beautiful setting, in the mountains but close to “Vegas”. Will camp here again.

Has the minimum necessary facilities (water, toilets, picnic tables) but not much else, and a lot of confusing rules. Some standard sites have pavilions and some do not; there is a maximum limit of two cars per standard site despite the fact that they could accommodate at least six comfortably; the walk-in sites do not have fire pits but the group sites do; there was no check-in service but only outdated signs; and there is plenty of room to expand the campground to prevent people from camping/sleeping on skidrow and in other BLM areas like Lovell Canyon but there does not seem like any plans to do so. Overall, this campground could provide an excellent opportunity to concentrate the growing impact of visitors to the NCA but has a lot of room for improvement to meet that need. Their rules are forcing people to scatter to areas of the NCA that do not provide safe places to dispose of human waste. Things that were appreciated were the size of the group sites and the proximity of water spigots and the water flow rate.
