I've stayed in this campground several times from late October through early December and have finally decided to never stay here again. It is a really tough place to exist when tent camping. The wind is relentless, people run generators from 6 AM to 10 PM, and there is no privacy of any sort. All the tent sites are clustered together in a depression in the desert, completely exposed to the elements. The only thing this place has going for it is its proximity to Red Rock Canyon. Maybe my opinion would be different if I owned a $100K van.

I drove our camper across the country and picked up my wife at the airport for a 10 day vacation around the deserts. Red Rock Canyon campground was perfect for our first and last nights, as it gave me easy access to the airport. It was very quiet. Nights were clear but the light pollution from Las Vegas did a number on the stars.
At the RV sites there was zero cell coverage, but a 2 minute walk up the hill got me good signal to check on flights.

Restrooms were always clean and properly stocked. Campground very close to other hiking locations and town for supplies.

Prachtig gelegen camping in de nabijheid van Las Vegas. Heel vriendelijk personeel, ruime plaatsen. Geen gebruik gemaakt van het sanitair.
