Great destination, well managed, and friendly hosts. Close to shopping for supplies, but far enough away to enjoy some real peace and the noise from the city.

This was our first time trying out our new truck tent. As soon as we arrive we were graciously greeted by the camp hosts who were so very nice. We had campsite #38 and it was absolutely perfect! A great first time experience. We only live 20 minutes away so we will definitely be returning as soon as the weather starts getting better.

Hosts Barbara and Dennis are so helpful and nice, especially considering this is an extremely high column campground. If you are seeking peace and quiet, do not camp there on weekends, as it is party central, with lots of drunks and stoners. Week days, though, can be fairly calm.
Not the prettiest campground, dirt and gravel road kicks up a lot of dust.
But, it is very close to town, for shopping.
Be advised, cell service is almost zero.

Very help and friendly rangers.
The vault toilets next to our campsite (43) reeked from a distance.
