Many thanks to camp host Rob, who was very helpful finding us a spot for the first night when we arrived a day early! Our reserved spot, 22, was very private and had a great view. Island Lake trail up at the end of the road and Thomas Canyon trail were both great. Watch out for the little ground squirrels. One slipped into our trailer under the screen door. Fortunately, it ran away as soon as it saw us!

Site 8 was wonderful. It was close to the bathroom, and water was nearby. The picnic area was elevated above the RV site. The view was spectacular from anywhere within the site.

Love camping in Lamoille Canyon We try to reserve a site in loop B. #13 & 15 are our first choices.

Nice private sites with good shade and trees between sites. Very clean vault toilets. Water faucets working and in good repair. Trash emptied regularly. Really nice and helpful camp host.

I would give it 5 stars just for the views alone. Our site was very hard to back into because of overgrown brush. They need to go in with a chainsaw and a weedwhacker and cut back the brush. Our fire pit and grill area was overgrown with vegetation. We took a shovel to see if there was concrete under the brush and there was.

I made a reservation although my name wasn’t on the reserved sign at the campsite. There was a brief discussion with a camper looking for a spot until I was able to show them my online reservation

A beautiful oasis. Our campsite was clean, quiet and beautiful. Lots of vegetation to hide us! Would probably opt for a creekside spot next time.

The campground is accessible via I-80, with the nearest exits in Elko, followed by a southbound route on State Route 227 for approximately 25 miles. The final approach is via Forest Road 660, which connects to Lamoille Canyon.
