Nice campground. Sites are not too close together, although they are definitely not level. Had a difficult time leveling out but it is doable. My site had a downhill slope to the table where others were fairly flat. I will definitely go back.

The campground was lovely. The camp hosts were friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the reservation system is crazy. Several of us needed to extend our stay due to an epic snow in the mountains and all the pass roads were closed. You need internet connection to make reservation with Rec.gov, and that wasn't available. The campground hosts are unable to take money. As it was, I got a knock on the door late at night from 2 rangers who were able to take my money and allow me to stay the night, but there was a half day of not knowing if someone else was going to come for my campsite or not. Need better communication between campgrounds and reservation agency.

Nice area, showers were broken and no one was able to fix them . No way to regulate water temp. The grass was really long should get goats in to cut the grass..

Beautiful time to go camping. My fiancé and I loved the site we chose. It was close to the water, the restrooms and the water faucet. It was pretty quiet. We can’t wait to come back! The only thing I would say is that there was no trash bin anywhere so we had to kind of walk far to through all of our trash away, but other than that we loved it!

We went mid April and chose site 52. It was gorgeous- pretty wildflowers in meadows grass. Three trees stood on our site and we were right next to the side of the lake. Would definitely come back.

Acorn is a great campground if you go outside the summer months. It can be very crowded during hotter weather. Some features aren’t available outside the summer as there isn’t the staffing to help. But the campground is quiet and most people who camp there are considerate and follow the rules. There is a discount if your are a senior through the federal camping discount program.

Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.

- Driveways may not be level; bring leveling equipment for RVs and trailers. RVs and trailers must face the direction of travel.
