Second time we have stayed here. Nice and very very quiet. Spaces are not on top of each other. Some are paved and some are gravel. Nice views.

Amazing campground and definitely one of our favorites in New Mexico. Great for our small 14’ teardrop and tow vehicle - paved driveway. May be tight for larger rigs. We had a covered picnic table, fire pit and the best grill of any campground we’ve stayed at - it was enclosed with a large grill space. We put our charcoal in it and it was like an oven with the lid closed!
The downside was the proximity to bathroom (we don’t have one in our teardrop), which were also close to the vault toilets. Wish our loop had these spread out more so the other side of the loop had easier access to a bathroom. The other downside was the very bright beaming light from the host campsite that was adjacent to our site - it beamed towards our site and was on until about 10pm nightly. This did not make for good campfire ambiance and wish it was turned in another direction.
Camp hosts were the most friendly of any campground we have stayed at! Great info and super nice! Location was great for fishing and exploring, plus convenient to Bodes store and a half hour from Espanola shopping.

We love this campground. Everyone is so nice and it gives us a break from the Texas heat during August. If you visit, go down into the recreation area to stay at the picnic area by the wave. Other interesting spots nearby are the echo amphitheater and the ghost Ranch.

We had a great experience! Cyndy and Al were amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable! The camp ground is so well taken care of and they are very clear on the rules and regulations (no boos included). This is more of a family campground and not a party site which fit our needs. We spent time in the swimming beach and had a blast! We felt safe and welcomed :)

Beautiful views and level campsites (at least the two we used), water/electric at the site and a very nice dump station. Our kids also really enjoyed the playground, especially the merry-go-round. The park attendant was super helpful and nice; we never actually saw a park ranger, but we got in after 5 both days and left pretty early. Loved having a trash can at each site as well. Will definitely come back!
