Pretty area, sites have a view of the lake & are decently spaced. Only 1 loop has power & water--others are dry camping. Can be very windy!!! Some hiking trails between campground & swim area.

Nice little campground. Nice space between most sites. Biggest problem was many of the sites were not very level. Very nice camp host.

We always enjoy this campground & the area. All was good at the campground (as usual) however the weather was lousy -- persistent strong winds so we could not do the things we wanted to in the area. So we departed early. The hosts were very understanding and set us up for a partial reimbursement of our camping payment. We will return

We found Riana when another reservation was canceled on short notice,…and we’re so glad we did. Everything was spectacular and the camp hosts were friendly and helpful. Endless views, limitless hiking, lovely campground.

We stay mainly at COE Campgrounds throughout the year all over the country. COE is always our first choice. (We are semi-full-timers) All the COEs are all extremely pleasant and all the host and gate attendants are very nice. However, Mark and his wife at the Riana campground on Abiquiu Lake were the most helpful and courteous attendants we ever experienced. They elevated our stay from merely pleasant to outstanding. Due to the weather we had to extend our stay into a weekend. (Weekends are tough at any COE) They went beyond the call of duty to help us get an appropriate spot for our 40' 5th wheel. We also noticed we weren't the only campers whose experience elevated by Mark and his wife.
The scenery from the park is breath taking and the hiking trails are very exhilarating. While a trip to the Ghost Ranch and Georgia O'Keefe museum are interesting, the most worthwhile in the area is the nature around the park. If you are in northern New Mexico try to make a stop here.
