Intended to stay for one night but extended for three, not just because it was beautiful there, and it IS, but two roadweary boondocker senior sisters felt completely safe with the always watchful park attendants. Great and appreciated respite from remote and rough forest camping we usually seek out. Sunsets and rainbows over the water was frosting on the cake.

The campground and facilities are meticulously maintained. The campground host was friendly, efficient and helpful. The scenery is beyond beautiful with the lake and surrounding red cliffs in a high desert setting. It has become my favorite campground.

Normally we chose an electric site, however all these sires were occupied. We reserved a dry camp site and was very pleased. Very clean, wonderful view of the lake and very quiet. The camp round is central to many great places to visit. Do not miss Plaza Blanca and the Muslim Mosque. The camphosts are very welcoming and ready to help if needed. All in all a great area.

One of my favorite developed campgrounds in New Mexico. The views are beautiful from anywhere in the grounds. There is a stacked loop trail that runs through the hills that’s a nice walk. Facilities are well-maintained and the camp hosts are always helpful and friendly.

Great place to stay in the spring or fall. Has water and electric hookups in one loop. A dump station is on premises. Beautiful views of Abiquiu Lake. Nice to place to unwind. Cell service was adequate.
