Riana - Abiquiu Lake campground is highly praised for its stunning views, cleanliness, and well-maintained facilities, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and recreation. Guests appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, spacious sites, and various upgrades, including a playground and dog park. While some noted the lack of shade and occasional heat, overall experiences are overwhelmingly positive, with many eager to return.

Beautiful spot overlooking the reservoir. We really enjoyed paddleboarding at Abiquiu Reservoir and it was nice to stay overnight so we could get out on the reservoir early. I think the campground should limit the amount of time that RVs can use their generators. Some people were cranking up their generators at 6am on a Sunday and running them continually until 10pm. Two RVs on either side of our campsite had simultaneous loud generators running for hours. It kinda ruined the evening for us and we had to get away from our campsite to enjoy solitude and not hear loud generators. Some other campgrounds limit the amount of time that RVs can have generators running and I wish this campground would do the same. Or, have specific campsites dedicated to RVs that want to run their generators. Other than the loud generators running for for hours, this camping location is really nice and has great views over the reservoir and surrounding landscape.

It was a great experience. The campground was clean and well maintained. The gate staff were super friendly. Showers were nice and they had several restrooms around the facility. Little dog park, playground, volleyball court, and the paved loop was nice to walk around. Each camp site had a good area for parking and a large tent and pop up. Covered metal structure over a park bench, a metal fire ring on concrete, and an elevated grill.
The boat ramp and swimming area were out the front gate and back in another gate, about a 5 minute drive. Body's fuel & convenience store is about a 15 minute drive. Ghost Ranch is maybe 12 minutes away.
Our only frustration was that the google hours show the gate being open 6am - 10pm. The true hours are 8am - 10pm. So we got there early in the morning after a 12 hour drive and had to wait a bit. Not the campground's issue, just a Google problem.

Quiet park, good views of the lake throughout the campground, good-sized sites with plenty of space between them. Short drive to lake access for swimming and a boat launch. We will be back.

The hosts were amazing! The bathrooms were clean, and the whole place is beautiful! This site has an AMAZING view of the lake and lots of space to explore. Would love to spend more time here, but we were just passing through.

The camp host was super friendly and kind. This campground is very nice and peaceful with beautiful views of the lake. It's clean, well maintained, and is easy to walk around and explore. There is a nice children's playground and volleyball pit as well. The bathroom / showers were clean with toilet paper but be aware that there is not soap at the sinks or even hand sanitizer to use.
Our site PEDE 003 was large and the paved area where our trailer was parked was fairly level, but there is a quick dip down from the steps of the trailer heading over to the picnic table area. This made it hard to set up anything right beside the trailer such as chairs or side tables. However, the site is large and would also accommodate an additional person(s) in a tent easily. It also had a decent view of the lake. You do get free access into the lake recreational area while staying at the campground. However, no one even checked our vehicle pass while we were at the lake.
We have Xfinity for our cell phones and were able to connect mobile whenever we needed to. Phone calls were able to come through as well.

I have to take a pull thru and P 9 and P10 are the only ones I can use. I have always used the 10, but it was taken so I did the 9. Well, it is way too sloopy and I had to dig into the stones to make my steps go down enough so I could get my door open and closed without it being too tight. Other than that, overall was ok.
