My only suggestion would be to mark the group shelters more clearly. Also, better pics showing the available tent sites for the group shelters would be helpful. Had a great time!

Loved camping here. Tent sites were spread out and each had a picnic table, fire pit, and tent pad. Pit toilet in tent camping area was clean. The main restrooms with showers were nice and also clean. Saw many stars at night

Beautiful, clean campground with showers. I would definitely camp here again. I had a tent campsite but it seemed like the RV sites were also very nice.

This BLM campground is also an attraction, with a boardwalk across the lava floes and interpretive signs. Unfortunately, some of the signs were so damaged by sun and weather as to be unreadable. It’d be nice if those were improved.
Signs said information to go with the boardwalk interpretive trail was available at the visitor’s center / office, but despite info that the center would be open during daytime hours, it was not.
One annoyance was an RVer who used the dump station parking for over an hour trying to get their car up onto a tow dolly and properly secured. We were able to get our small class B in to use the dump, but not fill fresh water. We remedied that by ducking into an open campsite.
