Rio Chama is soooo beautiful! The people who run it are extremely nice and accommodating, and made our stay perfect! It's a charming campground, set alongside a beautiful stream and near the historic train station. It's quiet, peaceful, gorgeous, and in a small town. Bigger places are easily drivable, but we enjoyed the calm, quiet of Chama. Will definitely go back!

One of the most peaceful and beautiful places we have stayed at in a long time. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful on arrival. They even went out of thier way to help with our RV/camper slot issue. When we arrived our 20 ft camper wouldn't fit in slot along with our 20 ft truck. They moved us to a larger slot and got us all set up. As mentioned in the beginning the place is peaceful and beautiful. The staff definitely takes pride in the property. Will definitely be back in the spring.

We stayed 3 nights in our travel trailer with full hook-ups. The park was very quite, very clean, and the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. It felt like they were genuinely happy to have us as guests. The RV park is dog friendly and even has a dog exercise and play area. The park is situated next to the river and you can watch the trains go by pulled by 100 year old Baldwin steam locomotives. We highly recommend this RV park, you won't disappointed. Also, the park is located adjacent to the Cumbres & Toltec Railroad depot. Chama and the railroad are a unique bit of history where you can experience a 100+ year old rail trip through the Old West.

My family and I have been going to this rv park for years now. We love it. Staff is friendly and it's always clean. Seeing the wildlife and the train go by is always a good bonus as well.
Everytime we get a different rv spot and they have been as good or better than the one before.

**Review of [RV Park Name]**
⭐️☆☆☆☆
I recently attempted to stay at this RV park, having booked a site for a week in advance. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Upon arrival, I was met with a lack of communication regarding additional vehicles and children—despite having four kids with us, which led to an unexpected extra charge.
The bathrooms were appalling, and as someone who owns RV parks myself, I was shocked by how unwelcoming and hostile the environment was, especially for families. The staff seemed disorganized, and when I expressed my concerns to the owner, he was rude and dismissive. It was embarrassing to see someone in charge who clearly had no grasp of customer service or what it takes to run a park.
The sites are extremely cramped, and maneuvering a 35-foot trailer was a challenge in the tight space. I was uncomfortable with the safety conditions—if a fire were to break out, it would be catastrophic given the park's layout.
After this experience, I asked for a refund, only to be met with indecision and further attempts to charge me for my children. This kind of treatment is why RV parks can earn a bad reputation.
I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. A much better option is Little Creel, which offers a friendly, family-oriented atmosphere and a respectful manager. Save yourself the trouble and choose a place that values its guests!
