It was a great time. I just wish parents knew how to control their kids screaming more at night and in the later hours of the day, That got a little annoying.

Using the website to book was very difficult I ended up paying for booking fees three times for our site . And wasn’t able to apply our senior discount. So it cost a lot more than it should have to book extra days. You should know that the feds website books by number of days while the state website books by the number of nights. They should explain that somewhere on the booking screen. Confusing to those of us that book both places.
That being said said, the campgrounds were very nice and Steve the camp host was friendly and very helpful. The bathrooms are clean and the trash in the containers are picked up daily. This site is family friendly not a rowdy place. There is lots of places to walk/hike. Lots of pine 🌲 trees and aspens. Very relaxing 😎.

This is a beautiful campground with a Rio running through it. There is a nice hiking trail at one end. There are only two restroom facilities and neither were near our site. The restrooms had the worst smell of any we have stayed at in the last five years. Definitely has its pros and cons for tent campers.

This is a great campground. The spaces are relatively far apart and the vault toilets are clean. Space #3 had just enough space for my 13 foot teardrop and Subaru. If you are using a tent you'll most likely have to use the asphalt pad as the dirt space reserved for the tent doesn't look flat enough for a tent to be set up comfortably. Spaces 4 and 5 seem to have the most privacy. Camping next to the river was wonderful. There is also access to the river from the other spaces without having to walk through someone else's camp.
