We had to leave NM due to an emergency and transferred the reservations to our friend who was going to go with us. Her car broke down on the way up and she never got to camp and we were denied a refund. Heartless.

Large sites in pine forest and dispersed from another. Route 4 from from Los Alamos west, is a steep winding road to get up on to the caldera. With a trailer a better alternative to the area may be from the south up the Jemez River and the village of Jemez Springs. Fire has destroyed a lot in the area recently. However Jemez Falls and campground are untouched

A beautiful, well maintained, and quiet campground. We enjoyed our trip a lot. One thing to be aware of though is that spot 41 is lumped into the “no generator” section even though it’s in loop 3 and not loop 4 which is listed as the “no generator” loop on the website. The website really needs to accurately reflect this for those of us booking that spot.

Jemez Falls is our favorite place to camp. We usually camp here about 6 times a year. We were disappointed to know that Loop 4 is a "quiet zone" and generators can not be used there. During our previous trips, there were not aware of any campers who violated the usual generator policy of no generators after 10 PM or before 6 AM. I'm hoping that in the future generators will be able to be used in the all the Loops.
