This campground was so clean and quiet. The host was incredibly helpful, even lending us a pump for our air mattress. Our site was spotless when we arrived; the gravel had been newly raked. We stayed in site 29, at the end of the generator-free loop, right along a little creek. A new favorite—we’ll return for sure.

Beautiful campground with huge ponderosas and big sites. Fantastic camp host. There had been a bear in the campground and he went out of his way to keep us informed. Also, I've never seen such clean fire pits!!! Pleasant walk to goblin colony rock formations.

Always excellent camping here. Bathrooms are always clean. Beautiful trees, small creek, exceptional camping spots. Level tent areas. My last 3 camping trips were here! I love this place.

Bathrooms were clean but reeked so bad even masking didn't work. Then there were the bees. There was a hive not 2 ft from the table, in the retaining wall. When we told the host, he was quite nonchalant about it, yea, "we sprayed them but they keep coming back". It seems that the forest service while telling us to be bear aware did not think that a swarm of bees were dangerous too. My daughter was stung and a week later it is still swollen and is on steroids for just 1 sting. Imagine if it were more. Campground it's self is beautiful but don't think we will return. It is better suited to RV campers. Our 'tent pad' was to small and to close to the table. Ended up putting one tent on the asphalt. No way it could hold 5 people, especially since we had 2 tents.
