What a wonderful place to get away from the grind of the city. Such peaceful surroundings. We were allowed to make an actual fire, but didn't know, so we used our propane firepit.
The spaces are set away from each other, but yet close enough to walk a few feet to visit with others around you. There are restrooms all around, which are power washed every morning. Spaces have space for an rv/trailer, tent, 2 tables and a place to park your vehicle. The host, Timothy, is available and very friendly.
There were several places to hike around, including the Goblin Colony. There's also a narrow creek on both sides of the campground.
Paliza is a gem even if it's dry camping!

Nice park to get away from it all. No power or water but good pit toilets that were very clean. Lots of trees for shade. Only a few miles of unpaved roads but paved inside the park and at each camp spot. Close to Jemez Pueblo and the Valles Caldera.

Paliza campground is very tidy and well kept up. The campsites were freshly raked and the vault toilets were clean and always stocked with toilet paper. The campsite staff members were friendly and promptly cleaned up our neighbors campsites as soon as they left. The nature was also beautiful with tall pine trees and several good hikes nearby.

Host was helpful in new registration only issue due to no cell service at site, which was recently first come first served.
