I remember when the camp hosts would prepare each camp site for the next camper. They don't do that anymore. Now the camper has to do that. Also, the bathrooms are in desperate need of pumping out. We were camped near a bathroom and the smell was very unpleasant. We still love this campground. It just needs some attention.

Had to use our rakes to clean the site from pine needles and debris. BBQ and fireplace full of ashes and briquettes. Trails still covered in pine needles, dangerous for seniors and others wanting to enjoy the trails, 4-wheeler running on trails, no interaction from Camp Host. Never saw the Camp Host in 7 days, AWOL.

Excellent stay.
It looked like some departed campers at the other end of the campground didn't manage to put their trash in the trash receptacle - which was right beside their camp. Don't expect someone else, like the camp host, to do it for you. Throw your trash in the receptacle on your way out.

It’s disappointing when you make reservations 6 months ahead of time and when you arrive you don’t get what you paid for. We arrived and the water spigot wasn’t working and we didn’t fill our tanks because in good faith we expected the water to work. Luckily we took enough bottled water to get us through our trip. When we informed the “host” he couldn’t have been less interested and all he could say was “I’m the host, not a plumber”. The bathrooms were filthy at best, the campsites had not been cleaned. The trash dumpster hadn’t been emptied. I have camped at San Antonio my whole life and I have never seen the campground so neglected. Then host then went MIA for days. I’m not sure why he’s even there. Last year when we were there, the bathroom were power washed, the fire pits were clean and the trash was emptied. I hope that something is done to bring the campground back to what it was last year. Rethinking you camp host may be a start.

No camp host available most of the day. The site was full of trash in the fire ring and grills. People are not leashing their dogs and not being told anything, mainly because the camp hosts are not there. Large dogs are being allowed to roam free while people with small dogs have their dogs on leashes. The gate should be closed like it used to be to avoid the random pass throughs. There have been several thefts reported of camp equipment. The bathrooms are filthy and not being maintained. Witnessed sites being occupied past check out time and people can’t set up when they come in. The power only worked on the opposite side of pole and breaker kept flipping when I used my a/c.

We enjoyed this site as it is roomy and the driveway is plenty long and level. When this park was remodeled some time ago, they really did a great job installing the retaining walls that line some of the sites, including this one. While it is fairly close to the site to the south and one across the road, the "outdoor living" side of your RV or trailer looks out onto slightly elevated open forest and grassy area, so the site feels quite private. The walk to restrooms and water spigots is not too far. Restrooms were clean and well cared-for and we like that at this campground, the restrooms have electric lighting.
