It is lovely quiet when the generators are out, one hiking trail and there is portable water and a dump station. Important to know alcohol is prohibited.

Campground is well kept, bear locker is nice and extremely spacious. Bathrooms were fairly clean and warm. Hiking trails are right off of sites. Definitely one of the best front country spots to experience Bandolier.

Other than the website booking me on a site that was too small my stay was amazing.
The staff at the gate went above and beyond to get me on a site that worked for my RV and was very pleasant.
I enjoyed the visitors centre and the ruins were fantastic.

A very Beautiful camp ground and acess to Bandelier National Monument and drove to the Jemez Water fall. Such a beautiful area.
One thing, i would suggest, is to make sure you are not setting up your tent on an ant colony. We set up and went out hiking. Our tent was mass covered in ants when we got back. We dusted them off, which was easy and moved to the camp site 1 over. They were minimal there and we loved our stay.

It’s great to use the reservation system. Knowing you have a reserved space ahead of time makes it easier to plan a trip. The campground host, Betty, could not be nicer to work with and the ranger talks during the summer are always a treat. We have camped In Bandelier for over 40 years and it never grows old.
