We booked two nights at the last minute and we’re very happy with the site that was available. It was a pull through and all of the sites are paved. We enjoyed our stay.

This was a nice campground with paved sites and clean facilities for a great price.

This was our second time camping in Bandelier’s Juniper Campground and we absolutely loved it. The campsites are large and rather private. We found the bathrooms to be very clean and were glad there was a hand dryer. The evening ranger program was great and a close walk from the campground. We’ll be back someday.

Campground was very quiet! Having firewood for sale was a huge bonus - heads up it’s super hardy wood that burns for a long time! Bathrooms were nice and clean, well lit at night. Website warned that only Verizon LTE was available, but my husband was able to get stuff with ATT as well.
Bear box use was required but thankfully each campsite had its own box instead of needing to share.

Peaceful campground, great hiking, and excellent burgers at the Cafe, not to mention the cultural significance of preserving this treasure.

Tent camping: site was level and clean. Great place to spend a couple of nights while visiting the ancient ruins.

My first time at Juniper Campground. I loved it. Very peaceful and felt safe since it was just me and my dog. Some sites were close to each other, but not all. I think I got the site with the most shade, since there were trees. I loved that it was clean, from the sites to the restrooms. A bonus that I was able to put up and use my hammock. Definitely my new favorite campground. Will be going back again near the fall!

We are used to quiet tent camping, no generators. It seems, nowadays, there are RV's everywhere, and most of them were quite, but one neighboring camper had a generator on for as soon as allowable, which was not the quiet, natural environment we were hoping and looking for. I wished there would be campground just for campers with tents that don't use any noisy equipment, as this is the reason we go out camping. Otherwise, we enjoyed the hikes and nature offered!!
I started to search for tent campgrounds only.. but was not able to find any:) Not sure where to go if you want some piece and quiet, without having to camp out in the complete wild (w/o tables, vault toilets).

Great campground. Quiet and relaxing place. Food storage lockers and dishwashing station definitely appreciated. Convenient location for visiting both Bandelier and Valles Caldera. Bandelier’s ranger hike and the twice -a-month geology hike are extra attractions.
