The host made us wait for our check in time until 4:45 pm because the people that had #4 spot the night before “went on a hike and were not anywhere around.” They left all their camping gear including their vehicle in #4 spot which was our spot. The camp host told us it might be possible for us to take #14 spot which they were going to
move to, the day we checked in. So we had to just sit and wait until 4:45 when they came back. So our check in time was delayed. I don’t think it’s right that they got to have an additional day in our spot. The next day the camp host was rushing us to get out of our spot. He catered to them why rush us!!! We ended up having to take #14 spot due to the delay and it was a very tight squeeze. Our door was towards the road. And like I said very tight squeeze. There were approximately 3 camp sites that were extremely loud up until 1AM and the camp host did nothing. I feel the camp host was prejudice. He discouraged us for next year’s camping because he said the rates going to skyrocket.

The toilets needed to be emptied more frequently.

Very quiet campground. Located on the Pecos River. You can fish in the campground or up and down the Pecos. Lots of fishing access. The camp host really stays on top of who is in the campground so you don't have people in there that don't have reservations. Some of the sites have three sided structures with a fireplace. Really nice if the weather goes bad.
