Rusty's RV Ranch

Great RV Park near the Portal Mountains under new management. They offer level sites with FHU, swimming pool and hot tub. The staff is friendly and helpful. We'll definitely come back here to stay. Only downside, Wi-Fi is weak, no streaming, but they're working on it.

It’s a decent RV park we’re full hook ups in the southern New Mexico desert. They value their night skies. No fancy outdoor lighting or LEDs are allowed. There are some world class amateur astronomers with some very nice telescopes. Let’s stay here almost year round.

Not exactly ‘rooms’ but the campsites are at least 5 star! We had a pull-through, full hook-up site with a fantastic view. Nicely edged with beautiful fire ring & picnic table. There are some animals for viewing (their pets!) and since it’s a dark sky park there are plenty of stars! Well worth the drive to visit this park with lots to see in area. Be sure you have everything you need, however, as it’s a hike to stores & fuel. Best ‘get away’ we have found in years! We are already making plans to come back from Houston!!

I didn't expect to love Rusty's RV Ranch as much as I did! Excellent spot for dark sky viewing and everyone is so friendly. We'll be back for a longer stay next time.

Great location with amazing views. They even have quite a few animals you can visit. Reasonable price for FHU.
