The Camp host seem to do nothing but collect money and check on status of campsites. They don’t clean a fire pits and they don’t clean the campsite and they don’t clean the restrooms.

Great campground close to Santa Fe. The elevation is a great respite from the heat. The state park close by is also great and within walking distance. Met the sweetest ranger there that recommended several trails.
The campsites are somewhat close but there is privacy. The bathrooms are vault toilets only and it is dry camping no amenities. Lastly cell service is non existent however the WiFi at the visitor center at the state party is great.

Beautiful site next to trailhead; Black Canyon is a small but tree filled campground. Campground host was wonderful. Bathrooms were clean but smelly--could use a deodorizer?
