Black Canyon Campground offers a beautiful, well-maintained environment with clean facilities and friendly hosts, making it a favorite among visitors. Many enjoyed the peaceful setting, abundant wildlife, and proximity to Santa Fe, with ample hiking opportunities. However, the lack of water access and some maintenance issues have been noted as drawbacks.

This campground is beautiful. There is plenty of space between most of the campsites. The toilets were clean and well stocked. It's quiet and dark at night and you can really see the stars. Unfortunately the water was not working when we were there, but I think this was temporary. I would definitely stay here again.

Loved the location. Cool nights and lots of shade during the day. Very clean grounds and friendly camp host. Plenty of hiking trails and close to Santa Fe. The only thing missing was water access but available at nearby campground.

Campground host was MIA on our first night which stunk because someone was in our reserved site and didn’t mive till next day. Thankfully there was an open site nearby that we could squat in but sure would have been nice for the host to have done their job. Otherwise the campground was nice.
