The Airstream is fun and the location with the drive in movies is lovely. But there were too many problems that just reflect a lack of attention and effort for customer experience to recommend. Phone to desk doesn’t work. No WiFi code or information in the camper (we had to walk to the restaurant to get the code). Cushions aren’t stored in a dry place so we couldn’t sit outside because they were all soaked, even though the rain had stopped earlier in the day. Outdoor fireplace wouldn’t light. Restaurant delivers to the camper but missed one out of our four orders. Breakfast was $24 for two people and was a plastic container of day-old fruit salad, some decaf-only coffee pods, and a couple bananas.
We did mention the issues to the management afterwards and they said we could have told them and they would have fixed the problems. Two issues with this response: we had a half dozen things go wrong all the way through to breakfast. Do we want to spend our $400/night hotel experience watching the staff come do the tasks they should have completed before we arrived? And, instead of offering a discounted future stay or partial refund as most hotels do when they miss the mark, they sort of blamed it on us for not contacting them (note there is no cellular service at the site, the phone is broken, and there’s not info about the WiFi unless you go ask). You get the idea….
