Lake Powhatan Glamping

Easy check in. No camp store. Sites were fabulous. Large with a good amount of privacy. Restrooms and showers were well maintained and had easy access.

First time visiting this camp ground and it was so amazing! The bathrooms were immaculate, the campground so clean, quiet and secluded. We were tent camping on the lakeside loop. We could walk right down from our site to all the paths around the beautiful lake. Everyone was so friendly. One of the best campgrounds we have visited. We will definitely be back.

This year makes probably the 8th or 9th year us guys have chosen to come here for our October mountain trip.
Restrooms are always clean, campsite is always well-maintained and staff is always friendly & helpful.
Our campsite has never been unlevel (we tent-camp) or untidy. (Saw where some reviews cited that)
Cell service IS spotty but, we go find a signal when we need it.
The location is great for getting to Asheville for a visit or for accessing stores for necessities.
We’ll keep coming back here.

While the beach area is nothing special, the scenic trail around Lake Powhatan is a definite highlight. You'll find a nice picnic area right by the parking lot and beach. Keep in mind that the fishing pier is accessed from a different road, and restrooms are conveniently located at the top of the steps.

A great campground in the Pisgah National Forest just outside of Asheville NC. The staff was great, friendly and helpful. The restrooms and showers were very clean and well kept up as was the entire campground.
We stayed in site 46 in the Lakeside loop. All sites (36 - 57), in that loop are paved sites with full hookups. You'll need leveling blocks as the sites have a pretty good pitch to the drivers side rear corner.
Additional notes, it is black bear country, so be aware of your surroundings for yourself and your pets! Easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway entrance.
