Great site. Very disappointed about the unannounced lightning storm, please tell storms to be more respectful in the future.

Lake Powhatan offers a fantastic location near Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway, with well-maintained, private campsites and friendly staff. Campers appreciate the beautiful, serene environment and the variety of outdoor activities available, including hiking and biking trails. While some noted issues with the swimming area and occasional noise disturbances, overall, guests had a positive experience and expressed a desire to return.

Campsite 9 is spacious and a short distance to the bath house. Water spigot is close too. One bar of AT&T cell service. Asheville is near by for groceries, gas and restaurants.

This place is quiet and peaceful. I camped here for the first time in the lakeside loop. I definitely will go again.

First time camping here, but will certainly plan to do so again. Our site was great & the campground was well-maintained. Our stay was short, so we didn’t do much exploring. Camp host was very helpful!

Great location, convenient to the BRP as well as Asheville. The site was clean and private. The beach was quiet and clean. There were two shower rooms in our loop. The were cleaned daily but one of the shower heads didn't work well making only one of the shower rooms useful. The camp host said that it had been that way for awhile, which seems odd since it would require only a short drive to a hardware store and an inexpensive shower head to fix. All in all, a great camp experience.

Great place a bit hilly so plan for that decent trek to beach. Site 13 had heavy tree cover as many sites had hard to get good starlink signals but got a on off one.
