We spent 5 days in Lake Powhatan and are very satisfied with the place. Very peaceful and well kept campground. Close to Asheville, the Blue Ridge Parkway entry and the Biltmore Estate. 5 stars *

Had a very nice stay at Lake Powhatan campground - staff at the gate were very friendly and welcoming. Site was exactly what we needed for 1 night as we were passing thru. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time but a good trail map is needed.

Love this campground! Each site has lots of wooded privacy, is well-maintained with picnic tables, fire rings, and trails are outstanding any time of year. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Great place a bit hilly so plan for that decent trek to beach. Site 13 had heavy tree cover as many sites had hard to get good starlink signals but got a on off one.

Great location, convenient to the BRP as well as Asheville. The site was clean and private. The beach was quiet and clean. There were two shower rooms in our loop. The were cleaned daily but one of the shower heads didn't work well making only one of the shower rooms useful. The camp host said that it had been that way for awhile, which seems odd since it would require only a short drive to a hardware store and an inexpensive shower head to fix. All in all, a great camp experience.

First time camping here, but will certainly plan to do so again. Our site was great & the campground was well-maintained. Our stay was short, so we didn’t do much exploring. Camp host was very helpful!

This place is quiet and peaceful. I camped here for the first time in the lakeside loop. I definitely will go again.
