Lake Powhatan offers a fantastic location near Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway, with well-maintained, private campsites and friendly staff. Campers appreciate the beautiful, serene environment and the variety of outdoor activities available, including hiking and biking trails. While some noted issues with the swimming area and occasional noise disturbances, overall, guests had a positive experience and expressed a desire to return.

We love Lake Powhatan. The hosts are amazing and the campgrounds are immaculate. So close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Asheville. I almost did not want to post this review to keep this little jewel a secret.

clean facilities and camp site. Enjoyed the bear visits as well. Beautiful young bear! Will return to park in the near future to try out your Yurts. Appreciated the staff at the front desk - very pleasant and helpful. Loved the beach. Nice job to everyone!!

Staff is super nice and helpful, nice place to get away to lots of different options to camp at along with hiking and biking trails right there intersecting the lake, only down side is the swimming spot as it was really shallow so you can’t really swim at it more so a waiting pond but nice place out side of that
