Starlight Hills Campground

I have been here 3 times. I stayed in a regular tent camp site and I stayed in one of the yurts. I can’t wait to go again. Always a wonderful experience and the peace and views are amazing.

LOVED STARLIGHT HILLS!!! Dome tent was AWESOME The privacy was amazing — it truly felt like our own little escape. The views were absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunset. At night, the stargazing was unforgettable. Seeing the Milky Way so clearly was such a magical experience. Everything was quiet, relaxing, and exactly what we needed. We can’t wait to come back!

Starlight Hills Campground in Bostic, NC is an absolute hidden gem. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was peaceful, welcoming, and beautifully maintained. The campsites are spacious and well-kept, offering the perfect balance of comfort and nature. Whether you’re primitive tent camping or glamping, everything is thoughtfully laid out to make your stay easy and enjoyable.

What really sets this place apart is the view, especially at night. The name “Starlight Hills” couldn’t be more accurate. The sky opens up into a breathtaking display of stars that you just don’t get in more crowded areas. It’s incredibly relaxing and makes for a memorable experience.

The owner of the campground, William is super friendly, helpful, and clearly care about his guests. Any questions or needs were handled quickly and with genuine kindness. The facilities are clean, well-maintained, and show a high level of attention to detail. You also can get firewood there for a small fee.

If you’re looking for a quiet, scenic getaway with great service and stunning views, Starlight Hills Campground is easily a 5-star destination. I’ll definitely be coming back.

My family and I camped here last weekend and it was a real nice stay. Some of the positives:

The location is good. There is a gas station within a few miles. There is an Ingles about 30 miles away. There is a Walmart about 20 minutes away.

The view from the overlook are awesome. We caught sunset there a couple of times and it was amazing.

There is clean water available for drinking.

Some negatives:

Just regular port-a-potties. There are decently clean but still.

The campsites are rather close to each other. We had nice folks next to us but we could still hear them pretty easily.

The neutral:

The washing station is decent and worked well.

Overall, it was a nice site. My wife did all the booking so I don’t know if it was a good value or not. They did allow us to book Saturday and Sunday night which was nice. I would come back here again.

Our first time camping and it was such a wonderful experience. The dome is such a family friendly site. Incredible view to wake up to and BBQ to. Campsite had everything we needed. Hot shower water, purified drinking water, doggie water fountain, and the dish washing area was a nice set up. Staff was friendly and aware of any needs. Would 10/10 recommend.
